Artist Bio:
Mia Lennard is a photographer and visual storyteller from Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. Her interest in photography began in high school, where she studied Visual Arts and participated in photography exhibitions, receiving the Rising Star award for her work. Her photography focuses on community and documentary storytelling, with a particular interest in capturing the people, culture, and everyday life of the Virgin Islands.
Mia has worked with organizations and businesses including the BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission, Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour, and other local brands. In 2025, she served as an official photographer for the British Virgin Islands delegation at CARIFESTA XV in Barbados. She is also the creator of People of Virgin Gorda, a docuseries highlighting the stories and experiences of the people who call the island home. Through her work, Mia hopes to document and preserve the stories that make the Virgin Islands unique.
