"What a wonderful opportunity to have a show here at Allamanda Gallery here in West End, Tortola. I appreciate this opportunity to display some of my art and insights with you all.

Having been exposed to art at an early age in Long Island, N.Y., I was given the opportunity to appreciate putting brush to paper. I didn’t know anything about composition or color wheels or painting at all; however, I always appreciated seeing finished pieces of art no matter what media it involved. After college I moved to Mendocino, California, where I became a woodworker and a captain. Eventually, in 1986, I was asked to run a seventy-five-foot wooden ketch called MIZAR that was languishing in a slip at Village Cay. Once my wife Judy and I relocated to the Caribbean, we ran charter boats, built a villa here in West End, and ran Village Cay Marina for seven years. Before you knew it, I had spent forty years of my life here, with a few forays running marinas or launches in Maine and Newport, Rhode Island.

I have always been around the sea, which accounts for my infatuation with the surf, sailing, and island life. I hope you enjoy my artwork and continue to follow my artistic endeavours in the future. Stay tuned."
